Help - Registering
To register as a new user, click on Register now at the top of the window.
All fields, unless noted, are required including your date of birth.
Interface Style, FurEauction has 2 interface styles for the "front page". One is the full blown FurEauction interface customizable to the point of insanity. Or a simple category listing of auctions that are currently going on, a great interface for modem users. During registration or going to the preference page the default interface can be set for current or future log in.
ICQ Number, when filled in will send icq messages when you are overbid. Please Note: FurEauction does not promise that these messages will get through. So do not depend on this feature if you really want an item.
HTML graphical editor used in html fields: This will show an html editor for some browsers (at this time IE 5.5 and above on pc but in the future more WILL be supported). You can easily edit in WYSIWG interface. Makes making auctions a breeze.
Hide Email Address: when checked will not allow others to see your email address. Only those that have participated in your auction(s) will be allowed to see your email address. If a bidder still wants to contact you, a form is provided so they can fill it out and submit. An email containing the information from the form will then be sent to you without them knowing your address.
PayPal Email Address When an email is entered into this field if you have Provide PayPal link checked in auction you can have PayPal links generated at auction closed. Your PayPal info is not used for ANYTHING else AND is not given out in any way BUT that.
Email you when people place feedback about you, when checked will send you a notice when people place feedback about you.
Please type the text you would like the general public to see on your profile page, allows the auction site user to put text that can be used on their "profile" page. This can be a little auction home page that can contain any information that you want people to view.
Once all the fields are filled in you can submit your registration. When that has been processed an email message is sent to your account with information on how to activate your account. Once the account is activated you can start bidding.
